MemSweep

Overview

MemSweep is a local-first iOS photo review app designed to help users go through photos and videos in their library.

Data Collection

MemSweep does not collect personal data.

The app does not require accounts, logins, profiles, or cloud services. MemSweep does not transmit personal information, device identifiers, or photo library data off the device.

MemSweep does not track users across apps or websites.

On-Device Processing

MemSweep accesses the user's photo library using Apple's Photos framework in order to display photos and videos and allow users to review them.

All photo analysis happens entirely on the device. The app may use Apple system frameworks (such as Apple Vision) to help identify items that may be easier to delete.

This processing:

• occurs only on the device
• does not transmit photos, videos, face data, or photo library data to external servers
• does not use remote face recognition services
• does not create user accounts or cloud profiles
• does not identify people by name
• does not track users across apps or websites

Local App Data

MemSweep stores limited operational data locally on the device in order to function. Examples may include:

• swipe history and review decisions
• pending delete selections awaiting confirmation
• local analytics totals (counts and byte totals)
• notification preferences and theme selections
• purchase entitlement state for unlocked features
• local, fully on-device, face matching used to power Face Sweep and Search by People

This information is stored locally using system storage and never leaves the device.

Sharing

MemSweep allows users to share photos or videos using the standard iOS share sheet.

MemSweep itself does not transmit shared content. The destination app or service is chosen by the user.

Support Emails

Users may optionally contact MemSweep support by email to report bugs or provide feedback.

If a user chooses to send a bug report, the email may include diagnostic information such as app version, device model, iOS version, and general system status. Diagnostic reports do not include photos, photo contents, or personal identifiers.

Including diagnostics is optional. You may choose to send a support email with or without diagnostic information.

Notifications

MemSweep may schedule optional local notifications on the device. These notifications are managed entirely by the operating system and do not use remote notification servers.

Third-Party Services

MemSweep does not include third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking services.

The app only uses Apple system frameworks and standard iOS system components.

Data Retention

All MemSweep data is stored locally on the user's device.

If the app is deleted, most locally stored app data is removed automatically by iOS. Some purchase entitlement information may persist in the Apple Keychain as managed by the operating system.

Support emails and any diagnostics you choose to include are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to investigate issues, provide support, or improve the app.

Children

MemSweep is designed for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Policy Changes

MemSweep may modify this Privacy Policy as the app evolves or legal requirements change. Continued use of the app after updates to this policy constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
